The Austin Bruins are one win away from getting back to the Robertson Cup Finals.

The Bruins struck first in their three-game Robertson Cup semifinals series against the Lone Star Brahmas when they won 3-1 in North Richland Hills Texas Friday.

Austin goalie Jake Kielly stopped 16 of the 17 shots he saw to get the win for Austin, which had just 20 shots on goal.

The Bruins took momentum late in the first period when Trevor Boyd and Nico Sturm each scored goals with less than two minutes left in the period.

Austin went up 3-0 when Alex Pettersson scored a goal early in the third period and Lone Star scored a power play goal to get within 3-1 with 16:07 left in the game.

In the other Robertson Cup semifinal, the Minnesota Wilderness beat Janesville 2-1. If Austin and the Wilderness can each win one game in two chances, the Bruins would host the Robertson Cup Finals.
