The Austin boys swimming and diving team had a solid day at the Section 1A preliminaries in Simley Wednesday night.

Advancing to the finals for Austin were Isaac Christopherson in the 200-yard freestyle and the 500-yard freestyle, Sawyer Myers in the 200-yard individual medley and the 500-yard freestyle, Mitchell Mayer in the 200-yard individual medley, Craig Heimark in the 50-yard 100-yard freestyle, Seth Clasen in the 50-yard freestyle and 100-yard butterfly, Ben Walker in the 100-yard butterfly and the 100-yard backstroke and Sam Clasen in the 100-yard backstroke.

Austin advanced the 200-yard medley team of Sam Clasen, Matthew Knoll, Walker and Seth Clasen, the 200-yard freestyle relay team of Heimark, Seth Clasen, Christopherson and Myers, and the 400-yard freestyle relay team of Heimark, Christopherson, Walker and Myers are headed to the finals.

Austin’s Riley Norton advanced to the finals in diving by taking 14th place.

The Packers will compete in the finals Friday at Simley.
