The Lyle-Pacelli volleyball team started strong, but it couldn’t finish off Lanesboro (3-0 overall, 3-0 SEC) as it lost in five games in Pacelli Gym Thursday.

The Athletics fell short by scores of 21-25, 21-25, 25-23, 25-22, 15-8.

“It was pretty much back and forth in all of the games,” LP head coach Lindsay Leif said. “They out-dug us.”

Sarah Holtz had 20 kills and Madison Truckenmiller had 13 kills for LP (1-2 overall, 1-2 SEC).
