The Austin Blue Sox lost their Section 4 tournament opener 9-4 at the top-seeded Mankato Mets Wednesday.

The No. 4 seeded Blue Sox (11-16 overall) will now play an elimination game at the No. 2 seeded Rochester Royals with their season on the line Friday at 7:30 p.m.

Austin is two wins from the state tournament, but it’s season ends with one loss.
