A loud party turned into a buzzkill after Austin police cited 16 teens, at least two of whom were under 18, for minor consumption of alcohol and arrested several partygoers early Saturday.

Police Chief Brian Krueger said officers were called to the 1000 block of Sixth Avenue Northeast shortly before 1 a.m. Saturday. Two 20-year-olds were cited for violating the city’s social host ordinance.

In addition, two Austin women ages 20 and 22 were cited for obstructing the legal process, another 19-year-old was arrested and held on a 36-hour detainment order by his probation officer, yet another 18-year-old was taken into custody on a Wabasha County warrant and a 20-year-old was charged with fourth-degree assault on police after slamming a door on an officer’s fingers.
