The Austin girls cross country team took first out of eight teams and the Packer boys finished third out of six teams at the Austin Invite at River Oaks Golf Course Tuesday.

Madison Overby took second for the Packer girls, Paiton Schwab was two seconds behind her in third place, Morgan Hose took sixth and Abby Lewis finished in eighth place.

The Packer boys were led by Andrew Baker, who took third and Quin Brunner, who finished fourth.

The Pacelli girls, who finished sixth, had a strong showing as seventh grader Kayla Christopherson took ninth with a personal best time and seventh grader Myra Kraemer took 10th with a personal best time.

The Pacelli boys, who took sixth, were led by Nathan Drees, who took 50th.

The Grand Meadow-LeRoy-Ostrander-Southland girls were led by McKenzie Kirtz, who took fifth.
