Program changes come to Center

Published 5:30 pm Saturday, August 31, 2013

September signals the end of summer. Autumn or fall is one of the four temperate seasons.

Autumn marks the transition from summer into winter, in September we notice the arrival of night becomes noticeably earlier.

This year summer is sure trying to hang on, which is OK considering what spring did to us.

Here at the Senior Center we have program changes like the summer to fall. In September we have many programs starting up again after taking the summer off.

Whether you are an absolute beginner or a highly experienced woodworker, come in and join our wood carvers group. Wood carving is perhaps the most ancient woodworking skill. Carving patterns in a block of wood creates something personal and precise, a work of art. They meet Wednesdays, at 8:30 p.m. here at the center.

It’s time again for the Hormel Retirees Breakfast. September – May second Tuesday. The Senior Center makes and serves a hot and hardy breakfast to the Hormel retirees and their spouses.

If you haven’t come yet or your newly retired join us at 9 a.m. on Sept. 10 for the next Hormel Breakfast. Advance tickets can be purchased at the front desk of the Senior Center for only $4.50, at the door tickets are only $5.
