Greyhounds sweep Rochester Royals

ROCHESTER – The Austin Greyhounds swept the Rochester Royals by scores of 4-3 and 7-3 in Rochester Saturday.

Tyler Leopold knocked in the winning run in game one with a one-out RBI single in the top of the eighth inning. John Frein turned a double play in the seventh to force the game into the eighth.

Former Royal Dave Adams was 5-for-5 on the day for the Hounds (17-9 overall).

Austin’s Matt Raso had a double and three RBIs in the nightcap.

The Hounds will play the Austin Blue Sox, who are seeded No. 2, in a Section tournament game at Marcusen Park Friday at 7 p.m.

The Mets are the top-seeded team in the section and the Rochester Royals are No. 4.
