With E3 done, there’s a lot of exciting games to talk about. From incredible shooters to amazing RPGs and great takes on old classics, the rest of 2013 and 2014 look amazing.

Here’s a look at some of the games we’ll salivate over for months to come.

“Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze”

It cannot be overstated how much I love Donkey Kong. From the music to the incredible, groundbreaking gameplay, the Donkey Kong series always has a place in my heart. The latest Donkey Kong title looks to expand on the 2010 Wii hit, which reinvigorated the platform genre and brought hours of fun. This title promises expanded minecart rides, water levels, and new, 3D ways to platform through a gorgeous island setting.

“Final Fantasy XV”

The reincarnation of “Final Fantasy: Versus XIII” looks amazing, though I’m confused how the gameplay is going to work. An action title with lots of pizzazz and weaponry, the latest “Final Fantasy” could be the hit that would bring back a lot of wayward fans.

“Ryse: Son of Rome”

This gladiatorial game brings the Roman legions to your TV screen, and the Xbox One title could be the answer to fantastic action replay.

You play a Roman commander battling hordes and using realistic ancient battle tactics to conquer your foes.

“Super Smash Bros. Wii U”

This will be a great time suck over the next few years. Nothing is quite so fun as “Super Smash Bros. Brawl” and “Melee,” and this title looks to improve upon the genre. With the addition of fighters like Mega Man and the Wii Fitness Instructor, look for this title to become very, VERY popular.
