Bruins’ season comes to an end in game four loss at Bismarck

BISMARCK, N.D. – The Austin Bruins saw their season come to an end at the hands of the Bismarck Bobcats in the NAHL Central Division Finals for the second straight season when they lost 2-1 in game four on the road Saturday.

The Bobcats, who won the series 3-1 and will now play in the Robertson Cup, took the lead for good when Shane Omdahl scored with 14:35 left in the game.

Austin got on the board first when AJ Reid scored early in the first period and Bismarck tied it up at 1-1 when Seth Blair scored 10 minutes later.

Austin took a hit in the first period when Reid and Chris Fischer were ejected from the game.

Jason Pawloski had 36 saves in the loss for Austin.
