Holly Benke is ready to capture your special moment.

The Austin resident will open Let Me Capture You Photography at 302 1⁄2 N. Main St., on the second floor and across the street from Belles & Beaus Bridal & Formalwear.

The studio, known as LMCY Photography for short, specializes in wedding, high school senior and milestone photography, but Benke says she will pretty much shoot anything else. She hopes to open May 1.

Benke actually started the business in 2009 in her home, but decided she wanted a more professional atmosphere.

“It started as a hobby, and basically I taught myself everything I know,” Benke said.

Benke said she has flexible hours and will work with her clients, and she has two assistants, or second shooters. She said she focuses on candid shots instead of posed photography.

“We capture raw emotion,” she said. “I pride myself on the ability to make anyone comfortable in front of my camera.”

Benke is planning an open house where she will give away free mini sessions, but hasn’t set a date yet.
