Packer gymnasts top Winona

The Austin gymnastics team had a strong showing as it edged out Winona, which is ranked No. 4 in Class ‘AA’ 143.475-141.875 in the Austin YMCA Thursday.

Sela Fadness took first in all four events and the all-around for the Packers, who are ranked No. 3 in Class ‘A.’

“It was a great night in the gym and everyone looked good,” Austin head coach Mark Raymond said.

The Packers gained ground on Winona in the vault and the beam to create some space between the teams.

“The girls have been putting in extra time on beam and its starting to pay off,” Raymond said.
