Alumni update: Austin grad Connor Gunderson leads St. Olaf in scoring

Austin grad Connor Gunderson poured in 22 points on 10-of-14 shooting for the St. Olaf men’s basketball team fell to Gustavus Adolphus Dec. 3.

Gunderson, a junior at St. Olaf (3-3 overall), is leading the team with 17.5 points per game, while shooting 65 percent from the field. He’s also grabbing 5.7 rebounds per game and has just 10 turnovers in 161 minutes.

Hayfield grad Tanner Kramer had 10 points in Wartburg College’s 84-66 win over Martin Luther Dec. 15.

Kramer, who is a junior at Wartburg (5-3 overall), is averaging 2.5 points and 1.4 assists, while coming off the bench.

Grand Meadow grad Jessica Benson led St. Cloud State with 17 points on 7-of-14 shooting and she added four rebounds as the Huskies beat Moorehead 79-56 Dec. 15.

Benson is averaging a team-high 15.8 points, 6.3 rebounds and 2.9 steals for the Huskies (8-1 overall)
