BROWNSDALE — IBI Data achieved the highest possible rating of “Superior” from AIB International for a third consecutive year.

The AIB certifications are recognized by food companies as a measure of world-class manufacturing programs. Special recognition is made for those few facilities that receive the Superior rating for three consecutive years.

“Anyone who’s been involved in these kinds of quality programs knows what a big commitment it is,” says Geoff Smith, Executive Vice President of IBI Data. “Three years ago we knew going in that meeting the AIB standards and all the prerequisites would be a daunting task. At the time, we were making a major investment in upgrading and expanding our refrigerated and frozen sample handling business and we felt this was important to show our clients just how seriously we take food safety. You can imagine how pleased we were when we received our Superior rating three years ago. Our clients have really embraced the improved services and savings we provide; maintaining our Superior rating every year since and getting this extra recognition is just icing on the cake.”
