In the midst of the holiday hustle and bustle, it’s likely time for some entertaining de-stressors. Austin has enough of those this weekend, so take a load off and enjoy.

1. 850 Nativity scenes

They’re at it again, the Holders, that is. Bill and Helen are holding their nativity scene open house from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. This year, they’ve got 850 of them, from small to big and from all around the world. A $1 donation to the Salvation Army is appreciated. The Holders’ home is at 606 Oakland Place NE.

2. An Elvis Christmas

Elvis is back, in the form of Joe Sir. Sir will perform his tribute to Elvis, “Rock ‘n’ Roll Christmas,” at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the Paramount Theatre, 125 Fourth Ave. NE. Tickets are $14 in advance or $5 for students, $2 more at the door. Thank you; thank you very much.

3. From law to stand-up

Ready for some serious comedy? Well, it’s not really that serious, but former law expert turned comedian Jon Wilson will perform his stand-up routine 8 p.m. Saturday at the Eagles Club in Austin, 107 11th Street NE. Tickets are $12 at the door.

4. Early Christmas meal

Feeling down and out this holiday season? Lost a loved one, short on funds or simply have nobody with whom to celebrate? If that’s the case, head right back to the Eagles Club on Sunday. Friendly people, good atmosphere and good food may be enough to cheer you up. The Eagles is hosting a free holiday dinner from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday. Anyone is welcome to attend, and no registration is required.

5. ‘Aloha Christmas’

Take your pick, or just go to both because ‘tis the season. Christ Episcopal Church, 301 Third Ave. NW, is hosting a holiday concert by the Riverland Music Department at 3 p.m. Sunday. Then, head to Crane Community Chapel for “Aloha Christmas” at 6:30 p.m. at Crane Community Chapel.
