A Level 3 predatory offender who was set to move to Austin next week will not be released as scheduled.

The Austin Police Department canceled a community notification meeting originally scheduled for Dec. 5 after receiving notice Friday morning that the Level 3 offender is being held.

According to the Minnesota Department of Corrections, the Hearing and Release Unit has determined that the offender has time remaining to serve, with no definite release date.
