Athletics beat Schaeffer in four

The Lyle-Pacelli volleyball team overcame an injury to one of its starters in a 22-25, 25-23, 25-19, 25-19 win over Schaeffer Academy (0-17 overall) in Pacelli Gym Thursday.

The Athletics (9-14 overall, 5-6 SEC) had junior hitter Ann Rysavy on the floor, but due to an injury she recently suffered, she could raise one arm.

“We won, but it wasn’t the greatest match,” LP head coach Lindsay Leif said. “Hopefully we can regroup and get healthy by next week.”

LP snapped a four-match losing streak with the win and freshman Sarah Holtz hammered down 13 kills.
