Athletics fall to Mabel-Canton

LYLE — A week after they picked up their first win of the season, the Athletics dropped a game to Mabel-Canton (2-4 overall, 2-4 SEC) by a score of 69-18 in Lyle Friday.

The Athletics (1-5 overall, 1-5 SEC) trailed 42-6 at halftime.
“What a difference a week makes,” LP head coach Reid Olson said. “We really thought we were coming together to where we could control our own destiny. We didn’t play with any emotion tonight.”
LP freshman Daniel Bollingberg had a 66-yard TD run and a 20-yard TD catch for LP.
