Alexandria ties playoff series as it beats Austin 5-0

ALEXANDRIA, MINN. — The Austin Bruins came up short on all 32 of their shots on goal as they lost an NAHL playoff game by a score of 5-0 at Alexandria (41-16-5 overall) Saturday.

The loss was just the second time the Bruins (37-19-6 overall) have been shutout all season.

Tyler Bruggeman stopped 18 of the 21 shots he saw and Nicholas Lehr stopped 11 of the 13 shots he saw in the loss.

With the series tied 1-1, Austin will have a chance to close out the series and move on if it can sweep the Blizzard in Riverside Arena this Friday and Saturday. Each game starts at 7 p.m.

In other NAHL playoff action, Aberdeen tied up its series with Bismarck when it beat the Bobcats 5-3 in Bismarck Saturday.
