People interested in the city and township of Waltham celebrate 125 years can attend a planning meeting Thursday.

The meeting is being held Thursday to plan for summer celebration of Waltham’s 125 year history. Anyone interested in helping plan the celebration can attend the meeting at 7 p.m. in the Waltham Area Government Center. The celebration is planned for June 26 and 27.

“We’re kind of excited,” said Saslly Mindrup, who was the chairwoman for the 100 year celebration. “We had a really big centennial. We had one heck of a time.”

At Thursday’s meeting, organizers will select someone to head the planning committee. The group will also discuss ideas for the event. Currently, a flea market, a bake sale, food stands, and car and tractor shows will all be part of the celebration.
