Adams Dairy Days has always been  one of those events that kicks off the summer in style and they’ll be doing it again this year as the event celebrates 50 years.

Slated for June 7-9, Dairy Days will boast another three days of fun in the heart of Mower County with more yet to come as the organizers behind the celebration are still working to finalize the schedule. be sure to visit www.aboosterclub.com or check out their Facebook page  for more information as it becomes available.

Friday, June 7

6 a.m.: Schmitz Electric Smoke-off! BBQ Competition Begins

7 a.m. to 6 p.m.: 20 Mile Garage Sale along Shooting Star Trail (LeRoy, Taopi, Adams, & Rose Creek)

7 a.m. to 5 p.m.: Changing Seasons Garden Club Plant Sale at 203 4th Street

4-7 p.m.: Adams Area History Center open

6 p.m.: National Anthem on Commerce Stage

6 p.m.: Adult Bean Bag Tournament

6 p.m.: Schmitz Electric Smoke-Off! BBQ Competition Ends

– Dinner for the public. Pulled pork sandwiches, baked beans, potato salad, chips & ice cream treat

6:10 p.m.: Opening Remarks

6:30 p.m.: Southland Drumline on Commerce Stage

8-11 a.m.: Lion’s Club Pancake Breakfast & Silent Auction on Commerce Street

9 a.m.: Big Cup Golf Tournament at Cedar River Golf Course

10 a.m. to noon: Bingo under the tent hosted by Southland Baseball Team

10 a.m. to 2 p.m.: Vendor Show at Sacred Heart School

10 a.m. to 4 p.m.: Snack fundraiser for Adams Cub Scout Pack 114

10 a.m. to 4 p.m.: Kid activities on Commerce Street – $5

– Chalk the Walk, Face painting, pony rides, bubbles, inflatables, kiddie corral

10 a.m. to 2 p.m.: Vendor Show at Sacred Heart School

10 a.m. to 5 p.m.: Adams Area History Center open

11 a.m. to 3 p.m.: Acres & Asphalt and Car Show behind Sacred Heart Catholic Church (412 W. Main Street). Registration, 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Noon: Spikeball Tournament at Southland Athletic Complex – 21 and under

11 a.m.: Adams Volunteer Fire Department Duck Race Raffle. Race ends south of park on 660th Avenue

Noon: Whipped pie eating contest

Noon: Butter scuplting contest

1-2 p.m.: Dariel Bustad Felten on Commerce Stage

1-3:30 p.m.: History Center Open

4-8 p.m.: Chicken & Pork Fry at Adams American Legion

Abbey’s Concessions, Godfather’s and Mower County ADA Malt Stand available all weekend and State Fair Mini Donuts available Saturday and Sunday.
