In Your Community: Fire Department welcomes fire poster honorable mention

- The Austin Fire Department had the honor of receiving a visit from Raidyn Regitchnig, one of our 4th Grade Junior Fire State Poster Honorable Mention winners. Inspector Tim Hansen and Engineer Matt Wyse presented Raidyn with a check for $10 from the Minnesota State Fire Chiefs Association. Raidyn’s poster was unique because Regitchnig is legally blind. His poster was designed with the use of braille to show the fire prevention week theme of “Cooking safety starts with YOU.” Photo provided
