Austin sophomore Cole finished third in the Section 1AA boys individual tournament in Lakeville Thursday. 

Hebrink was seeded No. 4 in the final four. He lost to Tej Bhagra of Rochester  Mayo in the semifinal 6-0, 6-1.  He then moved to the third place match where he defeated Blake Thackery of Mayo 5-7, 7-5, 6-2.  

In the final, Bhagra defeated Anthony Scheglowski of Lakeville North 6-2, 6-1.  When the third-place finisher has lost to the champion in the semifinal, a true second match is played. Scheglowski defeated Hebrink in the true second match 6-0, 6-0.

“Cole finished a great season on a high note today,” said Austin head coach Jeff Anderson. “Placing third in our section is an amazing feat. He lost to two top five players in the state today. He has every reason to feel great about his performance this season.”
