Suzanne Marie Krull Dock

We celebrate the life of Suzanne Marie Krull Dock. September 2, 1946 – April 9, 2024

To meet Suzanne once was to meet a friend for life. Suzanne was a ray of sunshine, with a smile on her face and always ready to share a good laugh with those around her. Suz had a zest for life that was evident in everything she did. Suzanne said that, “family and friends are the two best gifts of life.”

She and her beloved husband, Dennis, of 43 years, were partners, companions, best friends and perfectly suited for each other. They enjoyed carpooling to work in downtown Mpls, going to card club, Vikings games, volunteering, golfing, bowling, trips to Las Vegas in October, trips to Arizona in February, award trips through Denny’s work, movie dates, trips Up North with cherished friends and driving up or down Interstate 35 to visit family in Duluth and Austin, MN and of course hosting pool parties.

Suzanne was devoted to her family – she was a wonderful mother to Denny’s sons, Jaymie and Jayson, and grandmother extraordinaire to her six grandchildren. She loved having them over to her house. She was also the best Aunt to her nieces and nephews. She was a second mom and grandma to her great niece and nephews, who still laugh when she called them “angel boys” despite being grown and taller than her.

Suzie loved to travel with family. She thoroughly enjoyed being the extra set of hands for Jayson and Cristine and their six and to Carrie and Clement with their four. She, her sister, Mary Jo, and nieces, Sara and Carrie, enjoyed many many trips in California, Spain, Germany, and Italy. Every trip involved sightseeing, shopping, eating and laughing all day and and always sending a postcard to Denny.

Suzanne loved her work with Pillsbury, Cargill, and General Mills and her retirement employment with Food Perspective. She was a valued employee who became friends with everyone she worked with – sharing lunches, parties, gift exchanges and more.

She is survived by her husband, Dennis Dock; sister, Mary Jo & Jim Schlichter; sister-in-law Kathy Krull; sons, Jaymie Dock, Jayson & Cristine Dock; grandchildren, Carissa Dock & Dallas Gapinski, Carson, Carrigan, Carter, Carben & Caruz Dock; sister & brothers-in-law, Tom & BettyMae Dock, Bob Dock & Kathy Korsgaard, Dan & Karen Dock, Suzanne & David VanDeusen & families; nieces & nephews; Judd & Anita Krull, Josh Krull, Carrie & Clement Sciammas – Ariel, Bram, Eli & Addie, Sara Schlichter & Bob Ford, Scott & Joshlyn Schlicter & families.
