On Thursday, the Minnesota Agriculture & Rural Leadership (MARL) group, comprised of leaders involved in agriculture from throughout Minnesota visited The Hormel Institute. The group led by Executive Director Brad Scholesser and Kristin Mach learned about the cancer, biomedical and food science research with agriculture connections impacting human health of the Institute and the emerging Minnesota Bioimaging Center with Cryo-EM technology. One cohort member, Cortney Duncanson of Rochester, represented Compeer Financial who last year gifted The Hormel Institute with $1M starting the Farm to Wellness Fund for agriculture and food science research.
