Our travel season is about to begin for 2024.

We are a senior club which plans accordingly with these folks in mind. The Travel Office is located at 400 Third Avenue NE in Austin. Hours are 9:30 a.m. to noon on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday and a monthly newsletter is available for members of the Mower County Senior Center. We are not handicapped except able but canes are accepted.

Early sign-up is encouraged as these outings are made with you in mind and generate a lot of interest.

April 24: “The Fabulous Lipitones.” An uproarious comedy with music rated high in entertainment. Dinner is included. We could add a few seats if interested. Fee is due now. Departure time is 9 a.m. from Walmart parking lot. Arrive 20 minutes early.

May 9: Minnesota History Center in St. Paul which includes the works of Charles Schultz, creator of Charlie Brown and the Peanuts Gang. An afternoon will be spent at the Mall of America. It will be your choice to visit one of the world’s largest malls for shopping, aquarium and the Fly Over America attraction. We depart at 8 a.m.

May 30-31: “Nunsence” at the Fireside Dinner Theatre located in Wisconsin. This professional theater hosts many of the same Broadway shows as in New York. This is a two-day event with several stops and lodging will be in Fort Atkinson. This trip also includes the beautiful flower gardens in Madison, Wisconsin and more. There are a few openings.

The Minnesota Twins held their first game opener. We are once again offering two trips at Minneapolis on June 12 for Minnesota versus the Colorado Rockies and then again on Aug. 14 for the Twins versus the Kansas City Royals.

Guests of all ages are invited to join us. Cost includes great seats for your comfort and we ride in a deluxe motorcoach with restrooms on board. These two dates are filling quickly.

We have also scheduled two trips to the popular “Beautiful Carol King” musical at the Chanhassen Dinner Theatre on July 24 and Aug. 7.

Nov. 13 and Dec. 4: “White Christmas”

A full schedule will be available by April 11.
