Cook’s 10-point weekend gives Bruins a sweep over Minotauros

Dylan Cook wrapped up a 10-point weekend and the Austin Bruins stayed alive in the playoff chase when they beat the North Iowa Bulls 5-1 in Mason City, Iowa Saturday.

After dishing out five assists in Friday’s 5-1 win over the Bulls, Cook registered four assists and one goal in Saturday’s win. Austin Salani added two goals and two assists in the win for Austin (28-24-2-1 overall).

Vilgot Holm had 20 saves and one assist.

The Bruins have four games remaining in the regular season, with a big series against the St. Cloud Norsemen looming on April 12 and April 13. Austin will play two games at Aberdeen this Friday and Saturday.

The Bruins are currently tied with the Norsemen at 59 points apiece for the fourth and final spot for the NAHL Central Division playoffs.
