The concert included a combined choir with students from Lyle and Pacelli under the direction of Stefanie Tranchida (Lyle) and Katy Bisanty (Pacelli). The student choir opened the concert with Mozart’s Lacrimosa from his Requiem Mass.

Nine professional Opera Singers from Hometown Opera Company continued the concert with select arias, art songs, duets and small ensembles from well-known operas such as Gianni Schichi, Carmen, Le Nozze Di Figaro and several others.

Each piece was introduced with a short description and included subtitles for translations of the songs. The concert concluded with The Anvil Chorus from Il Trovatore. The students and professionals collaborated on this final piece to create a scene that included students striking anvils to the beat of the music, a sword fight and a group of student villagers reacting to the action.
