Last Tuesday, the local McDonalds in Austin donated 50 shamrock shakes to nursing home residents leading up to St. Patrick’s Day, which was a surprise. While it may seem like a simple gesture, such threats and acts of kindness are huge mood-boosters for nursing home residents. The kindness and generosity from the local McDonalds really embodies what it means to be part of a small community. They hope it inspires others to do a kind deed for others and to bring joy to someone else.
