Robert “Bobby” L. Klaehn

Robert “Bobby” Loren Klaehn was born January 19, 1952, in Austin, MN. He passed into the presence of the Lord on December 30, 2023, after a lifetime of mental and physical limitations and numerous health struggles. Bobby lived at home with his family in the Dexter area until 1976, at which time he began to live in a series of facilities and group homes structured to provide care for his many needs. His family always considered him to be strong and beloved, able to enjoy the simplest things in life with remarkable contentment and acceptance. His smile was a treasure to those around him. Bobby was blessed with exceptionally devoted parents who did everything they possibly could to meet, and provide for, his unique needs throughout his life.

Bobby is survived by his loving mother, Norma Klaehn of Adams; brothers, Bruce Klaehn (Lynette) of Eyota and Jack Klaehn (Tam) of Dexter; nephews, Sam Klaehn, Scott Klaehn, Luke Klaehn and Bret Klaehn; and nieces, Macy Klaehn and Sarah Klaehn. He was preceded in death by his father, Loren Klaehn; and sister, Kathy Sue Klaehn.

Over his lifetime, Bobby’s “family” included the many skilled caretakers and overseers assigned to him. The family sincerely appreciates the devoted efforts of anyone who supported him through the years. Most recently, the staff at the REM Wildwood II group home, the Mower County Human Services staff, the Austin Clinic, and the St. Croix Hospice program workers all provided him with exceptional and empathetic care and support. God bless you all for your many efforts on his behalf.
