Austin Area Foundation has announced a change of location for the community foundation serving residents in Austin and throughout Mower County.
“Moving into new offices is exciting for us because it provides us with better space to meet with community members and organizations who support the mission of Austin Area Foundation and key partners,” said Steve Barrett, executive director. “Another great benefit is it provides more and better parking for visitors.”
The new offices for AAF are in the Austin Professional Center located at 308 Fourth Avenue NW, Suite 15 (second floor on the south end of the building.)
AAF community foundation has been supporting local nonprofit organizations since 2003. The Austin Legacy Endowment Fund has distributed nearly $300,000 to Austin-based organizations, while other funds have distributed several hundred thousand dollars to local and regional nonprofits. AAF also supports two scholarship funds currently but hopes to add more scholarship funds as they continue to grow.
Other growth plans include growing the asset base to support nonprofit organizations across Mower County and the surrounding counties.
