Linda ‘Muffin’ McKeehan, 83

Linda ‘Muffin’ Elaine McKeehan passed away on December 21, 2023 in Green Valley, Arizona. She was 83 years old.

Muffin was born in Minnesota on April 8, 1940 the daughter of Joseph Francis and Frieda Catherine (Weber) Lickteig. She grew up in Austin, Minnesota graduating from St. Augustine High School.

Muffin raised a family in St. Louis Park and Golden Valley. She spent her later years between Green Valley, Arizona and a house on Big Winnie, choosing Green Valley year round after her husband Bob passed in 2013.

Muffin was a nationally recognized child advocate receiving the CASA Volunteer of the Year Award and was named a “Point of Light” by President George H.W. Bush in 1991.

Muffin is survived by her sons Mark, Tim, sisters Donna Mae Tyrrell, Joanne McKay, Carol Madson and much beloved cousins, nieces and nephews. Muffin is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Robert McKeehan and her parents Joe and Frieda Lickteig.

A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Saturday, January 20, 2024 at St. Augustine Church, 405 – 4th Street NW, Austin, MN 55912. Visitation starts at 10:00 a.m. with a service at 11:00 a.m. and a luncheon to follow.
