Marie married Keith (Butch) Wiese on September 22, 1947. They made their home in the Austin area and were blessed with six children. She stayed at home with the children and later worked in drapery services and eventually started her own drapery business.

She was a faithful charter member of Queen of Angels Catholic Church and she supported the church through many volunteer activities.

Quilting and sewing were her passion. Marie enjoyed playing Bridge and belonged to three different Bridge Clubs. She also loved to read and do crossword puzzles. She enjoyed golfing and played into her 80’s. She was always willing to learn new things as we watched her use a smartphone and laptop in her 90’s. Marie considered herself blessed to still be living independently at Chauncey apartments in Austin.
