Bruins outlast Bulls in six-round shootout

The Austin Bruins survived a third period letdown to outlast the North Iowa Bulls 5-4 in a shootout in Riverside Arena Saturday.

The shootout went six rounds with each team scoring on their third attempt, before Isaak Brassard scored the game-winner. Austin goalie Logan Rose stopped the Bulls on five of their six shootout attempts and he stopped 18 shots in the game.

The Bulls scored two goals in five minutes in the third period to take a 4-3 lead, but Austin (15-8-1 overall) forced the extra session when Ocean Wallace scored with 3:29 left in the third period.
