Freeborn Mower Electric Cooperative has issued a peak alert today in the midst of high temperatures.

The cooperative is urging people to shift flexible electrical usage until after 6 p.m. this evening.
Likewise, Austin Utilities has issued a Peak Alert asking customers to reduce energy usage until 8 p.m.
