The Austin girls golf team finished ninth out of 12 teams on the first day of the Section 1AA meet in Cannon Falls Tuesday.

The Packers were eliminated as a team, but they advanced a pair of seventh graders to the second day of the meet. Aliani Thiravong and Sydney Lewis will play again on the second day of the meet as they try to get to state.
