The Monday night session Austin City Council began with Junior Mayor for a Day Talan Medgaarden using the mayor’s gavel to start the meeting. Mayor Steve King said that Medgaarden shadowed him throughout the day as they toured City departments. Medgaarden’s favorite tour was the Austin Police Department. Photo provided
