Cumulative Mower County COVID-19 cases at 847

The Minnesota Department of Health on Thursday reported an additional 19 confirmed cases on COVID-19 in Mower County, bringing the county’s total to 847 since March 19.
That number includes all of the cases confirmed from this weekend’s testing event, according to Mower County Health and Human Services Director Lisa Kocer. She also noted that an additional positive case was identified from this weekend’s testing, bringing that total to 39.
Neighboring counties of Dodge, Fillmore, Freeborn, Olmsted and Steele are reporting cumulative totals of 67, 23, 262, 948 and 206, respectively.
The MDH reported a statewide increase of 365 cases, bringing the state’s cumulative total to 34,123. As of Thursday, 336 Minnesotans were hospitalized with COVID-19, including 162 in intensive care.
The MDH also reported nine deaths, bringing the state’s COVID-19 death toll to 1,406.
