The AARP tax preparation site at Accentra Credit Union in Austin, will not reopen this year due to COVID-19; however, will reopen in February 2021.

Taxpayers who were waiting for the site to reopen to have their individual income taxes prepared should contact a paid tax preparer to file their 2019 Individual Income Tax returns.

The filing and payment deadline was extended to July 15, 2020 because of the impact from the coronavirus.

In a statement to the Herald, the Austin AARP Tax Site apologized for any inconvenience this may cause their clients.
