Custodio and Georgina Serrano, owners of Tienda Guerrero (301 NE 4th Ave.), are following up their first food distribution with a second round.

They will be handing out a free bag of groceries to area families from 9-11 a.m. and 4-6 p.m. this Thursday at Tienda Guerrero (301 NE 4th Ave.) across from the Austin Public Library.

The groceries are going to help area families who have lost their job or who are experiencing extreme financial hardship and lack of food in the shadow of the COVID-19 shadow. Each family will receive a whole chicken, rice, beans, tomato, onion and tortillas to make one or more meals.
