The LeRoy Commercial Club has cancelled the annual LeRoy Summer Fest celebration due to concerns about COVID-19.

According to LeRoy City Clerk-Treasurer Patty White, the Club voted on May 19 to cancel the event, which was scheduled for July 17-19.

“This decision was not made without great thought and consideration,” she said. “Knowing that many people look forward to the community event, the health and safety of all those people has to be considered in the decision-making process.”

Next year’s Summer Fest event is scheduled for July 16-18.
