Daryl has been retired from both the U.S. Air Force with 21 years of service and the U.S. Civil Service with 13 years of service. Nada worked many jobs over the years, from mini mart clerk to accounting clerk, ending with a retirement from Hormel Foods Corporation in 2010.

During their 50-year marriage, they lived in North Dakota, North Carolina, Germany for a four-year tour, Texas, where Daryl retired from the Air Force, California, where Daryl retired from civil service, Missouri and Minnesota. They now reside in Tucson, Arizona.

Until the recent pandemic, Daryl was bowling four leagues in Tucson. He has achieved a high game score of 299 and is still looking for the big 300. He enjoys the sunny climate in Tucson and does not miss shoveling snow.  He likes to say, “You don’t have to shovel sunshine!”
