15 new COVID-19 cases reported Thursday in Mower County

The Minnesota Department of Health reported 15 new cases of COVID-19 on Thursday in Mower County, bringing the county’s total to 231 since March 19.

Statewide, a total of 493 new cases were reported Thursday, bringing Minnesota’s total to 22,947 since March 6. Of those, 2,549 were health care workers and 16,655 no longer needed isolation.

The MDH also reported 35 new deaths, raising the state’s total to 967 since March 21. Of those, 787 were residents of long-term care or assisted living facilities.

To date, 225,208 COVID-19 tests have been conducted in Minnesota.
