Mower COVID-19 cases at 27

The Minnesota Department of Health on Wednesday confirmed one more case of COVID-19 in Mower County, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 27.

Neighboring Olmsted County has now exceeded 200 cases after six cases reported Wednesday raised the total to 204. Steele County also had a new reported case, making its total 10 cases.

The MDH reported an additional 154 cases across the state, raising the number of confirmed cases since March 6 to 2,721. Of that, 240 were hospitalized, including 107 in intensive care, and 1,317 were no longer in isolation.

The MDH also reported 19 new deaths, raising the state total to 179 since March 21.
