No injuries were reported after a Tuesday morning fire destroyed a motorhome in Brownsdale.

According to Mower County Sheriff Steve Sandvik, the Brownsdale Fire Department and Mower County deputies responded to a call of a fire at about 11 a.m. on Tuesday in the area of Hosmer and California Streets in Brownsdale. Upon arrival, they observed a 1998 Holiday Motorhome parked behind a business in the 300 block of South Mill Street with the front engine area on fire.

Brownsdale firefighters were able to put out the fire on the heavily damaged motorhome. They also recovered a 2-year-old mix breed dog from the motorhome; however, the dog did not survive.
