The Mower County Humane Society would like to thank all who participated in the Feline Spay/Neuter Clinic which was sponsored by MCHS and the Austin Vet Clinic in February.
A total of 49 cats were spayed or neutered, which translates into roughly 275 less unwanted kittens this year in Mower County.
MCHS does have potentially five more spay/neuter clinics planned for 2020 (if the quarantine on veterinary clinics is lifted in Minnesota). These clinics are done at the Mower County Humane Society with MNSNAP (MNSNAP.org) and will happen on the Fridays of May 8, July 17, Sept. 11, Nov. 6 and Dec. 8. To sign up for these low-cost spays/neuters, go to MNSNAP.org. Cat spays are $60 and neuters are $50. Dog spays and neuters range in price from $80 to $115, depending on the weight of your dog. (Shots, etc are available at an additional cost IF you spay/neuter your pet.)
THANK YOU for spaying and neutering and helping to reduce the number of unwanted cats and dogs in Mower County.
