A local group is asking the public with help in gathering PPE/N95 masks to be donated to health workers on the front line of the COVID-19 outbreak.

Masks 4 MN is spearheading the effort.

People can bring them to drop-off locations throughout southeast Minnesota including Austin. Masks commonly used in construction and painting, farming and agriculture, beauty and nails, dental and oral surgery and manufacturing can be dropped off at Austin’s Hy-Vee service counter throughout the day through Friday at 6 p.m.

All personal protection equipment gathered by Masks 4 MN will be donated to local hospitals, clinics and the Minnesota Nurses Associa
