Just in case you haven’t heard about our new meal program, here is some information on what it is.
The government is willing to help support one nutritional meal a day for anyone age 60 and over. We are excited to be participating in this program for you. This program will be located in our coffee shop Monday through Friday.
We are going to continue to offer the same consistent menu that you already love and continue to add new things each month. With any government program comes paperwork. We would invite anyone that is 60 and over to participate. All you need to do is come to the office where Teresa, Tina or Sara will help you fill out a short form and you will be given a punch card for either one week or one month, depending on how often you plan to enjoy a meal here.
You then are welcome to give a donation toward the program as you choose. This card will allow you to dine up to one meal every day in the coffee shop. You will have your choice of what you would like the same as now, but we will be adding the option of dessert, fruit and milk with every meal.
Once you choose your meal, we will punch your card. Each month you will turn in your card to get a new card. This will allow us to track how many meals we served for the government. This program will run all year long.
When you have some time, stop by the office for more information and we will give you your punch card. We look forward to seeing you there. Remember this is for anyone that is 60 and over.
Monday we will be serving sloppy joe’s in the coffee shop. We are also having hotdish two times a week Tuesday, Feb. 4, we are having scalloped potatoes and ham and on Thursday, Feb. 6, we will be having pizza pasta skillet.
On Wednesday, we are serving a salad bar and Friday we will be serving creamed chicken over biscuits. If you have a punch card, there is no additional cost for dining. You are always welcome at the center.
