Packers earn 10 state berths in swimming and diving

It was a banner day for the Austin boys swimming and diving team as the Packers earned 10 state entrants at the Section 1A finals in Rochester Friday.

Logan Kelly set a new meet record in the 100-yard breaststroke as he took first place and he also qualified for state in the 200-yard individual medley.

Rafe Dolan Peterson took first in the 100-yard backstroke to punch his ticket to state and he also qualified for state in the 100-yard butterfly.

The Austin 200-yard medley relay team of Dolan Peterson, Kelly, Trey Myers and Aaron Knoll took first to get to state, Myers is headed to state in the 200-yard freestyle, Riley Norton is headed to state in diving, Aaron Knoll will compete in the 50-yard freestyle and the 400-freestyle relay team of Dolan Peterson, Winston Walkup, Myers and Logan Kelly is headed to state.
