Mary Ann Sistek, 89, died peacefully on Sunday, Feb. 16, 2020, at the Koda Living Community in Owatonna, Minnesota.

Mary Ann was born Aug. 19, 1930, in Freeborn County in southern Minnesota to Fred and Anna (Kycek) Sistek. She grew up on the family farm in rural Myrtle, Minnesota, and later made Owatonna her home.

Mary Ann loved babies and children. She enjoyed music, playing piano, dancing, playing cards and visiting with family and friends.

She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Steven (Sharon) Koester, Kevin (Nancy) Koester, Vicki (Gayle) Kuethe, LeAnn (Marv) Fendrich, Janelle (Mark) Behr, Danny (Julie Berg) Sistek, Nancy (Allan) Wesely, Gayle (Pete) Schneider, Sandy (Mike) Pence, Rick Sistek and Gloria (Mike) Kozel; two sisters-in-law; Doris Draayer and Phyllis Sistek; and many grand and great-grandnieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Anna Sistek; her infant nephew; sister, Mildred Koester; brothers, Freddie Sistek and Richard Sistek; and brother-in-law, Leroy Koester.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 23, 2020, at the Koda Living Community Chapel, 2255 30th St. NW, Owatonna, MN 55060. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service on Sunday at the chapel.
